I don't think I can add to that. and thanks for the compliments. thanks to don and bill for making this happen. when I fly home tommorrow and am no longer posting through my cell phone I will tell more. this was amazing and I will look into setting one up in florida for you guys if there is enough interest

That was a blast. Good company, conversation, more razors than your can shake a strop at. It was nearly 3am Sunday when I pulled into the garage. We ran headlong into a whiteout north of Columbus and had to ease off the highway until the snow let up.

Funny thing, Jerry (Kilowattkid) who was riding with me disappeared on the way home. I guess I will have to take care of that 7 day set or razors and strop he won. They will look good in the display case I won.

I want to thank everyone that put work into this get together. There was a lot of work put into this and the venders who donated some amazing stuff. I have to order a few thing that I got to put hands on while I was there. Just getting to watch some of the masters work their craft has helped me cut weeks if not months off of my learning curve. The honing lesions were invaluable. I worked up a scary sharp edge on my daily shaver and had a super shave this morning. I also cut a shave ready edge on my other two razors today.

So thank you all and I am really looking forward to the second annual SRP Ohio get together.

Nic, got your shotgun yet? Just tell the wife you bought a new razor and it came with a free gun.

FYI, here is the display case I won. Looks gorgeous, now I need some case worthy razors. I have 7 blades in transit and a garage full of exotic wood. I see some restorations and exotic scales in the near future.

Many thanks to Lynn, SRP’s founder, a gracious man with many passions. Thanks to those who put the event together.
It was great meeting everyone in person and shaking hands.
Having the opportunity to view and handle razors, hones, brushes, soaps, strops etc, etc...Invaluable.
Observing honing and stropping techniques and viewing honed edges with a microscope set up was a blast.
Learning how a razor is constructed from raw materials to a finished product- Wow.
And much, much more.

I was wondering if you ran into that also. I hit it at Mansfield and kept going. At one point I turned off the headlights and used the lights of the pickup following me to see down the road, I was able to see way better that way. Otherwise the glare from my own headlight reduced visibility to a car's length. If it had been daylight visibility would have been fine. Even at 10 mph it was insane that I kept going but I new from the weather radio that it was a small squall. Still, it was an hour of really tense driving.
