Hi Colleen,
It was great (and well attended). I've never seen so much shave gear in one place (and that was just Lynn's stuff!).
I had to take off early and missed most of when things really got rolling but based on the reports of FRIDAY night, my guess would be there won't be anyone sober around here from the night's activities until TOMORROW
It was great to actually meet some of the folks from around here. Sorry you missed it.

"Gleefully clapping hands" .....Oh I can just "barely wait" to hear all the goin's on. Ken, Thank you so much for writing.
Yesterday I kept thinking, I wish they had one of those streaming video things and then I could have sat and watched, wouldn't that be cool.
I glad to hear that it sounds like it went over really well, and everyone had a good time.

Thanked: 2That had to be the most fun I have had in awhile. I learned more than I could have ever hoped, bought a wade and butcher from Topher, and won some sweet stuff in the door prizes. I definitely have to say Bill and Don (Taz) did an amazing job getting this together. I first of all would definitely like to thank the guys from ClassicShaving and VintageBladesLLC.
Between their donations for door prizes, Gentleman's quarter, Mama Bear, Hand American, just to name a few. Between the actual seeing of your knife edge with Tim Zowadas equipment, to actually going and shaving with one of his razors is just unimaginably cool. Lynn might be one of the nicest, funniest, and most knowledgeable people I have ever met.
I never though I would get the opportunity to come so close to Mastro razors and Zowada razors. I know I keep ranting about Zowada razors, but it had to be the best shave I have ever had. During the door prize give aways the funniest thing happened. One of classic shaving's door prize donation's of all these mens soaps and cream's i believe it was their full men's line was won by Vintage Blades. We all laughed so hard.
Well this is the bulk of the event. But there is so much more to tell, Ill just let everyone else cover it.

It was the awsome-est! As the attendee who knew and possessed the least, I gained the most -- including a beautiful brand new DOVO "Founder's" straight razor in memory of Will's father in law - Ray Dupont and my first experience in honing a blade of any kind. It is my second razor, which will carry the memory of a full day of great comraderie every time I shave with it. I never experienced such genuine enthusiasm and passion for a simple pleasure. I'm hooked!
Thanks for including me in the fold!

Just to let you all know I am Home I have been home for a few hours but after staying up from smoking all those cigars and hanging out with you all I had to sleep for a few hours .
It was great meeting all of the guys that came to the event . Every body was very nice and the event was GREAT .I am very glad that I decided to come and did not end up flaking like I was saying towards the last few days .
I would like to give a big thank you to a few of the guys
First I would like to thank Chris for giving me my first cigar and showing me how to smoke it . also for driving me around every place we went. For all of you that dont know Chris is a great guy . with a great passion for restoring razors and does a hell of a job honing them .
Don thank you for taking the time to organize this with Bill you guys did a great job I hope went I set up my event that it can be half as good as what you guys set up . You did an excellent job . Don (Taz) Is a wonderful guy that no matter how many times I would bother him to ask him a dumb question was always there to let me know the answers .
Bill S. I cant say enough good things about him a true gentleman with all the meaning of the word . Thanks for setting up the event with Don . The shooting was great . I felt like I was a little kid again . It was truly the most fun I have had in a very long time . Thank you for all your help as well with the camera and the shooting and all that you did
Lynn .
Stay away from this man guys !
Thanks for letting me use your gun (now you have that extra set of prints on it that you wanted)
This mans collection is incredible but his collection is not half as great of a guy he is . This man was great fun to be around . I wish that I could be half as great as this man in my years to come . It was really an honor to meet you and thank you for letting us all into your home the way that you did .
Tim Zowada
What can I say about this man . it was incredible being able to pick his brain . A great man with a great passion for what he does . A great wealth of knowledge not just for razors . This man as all of you know is a great Razor maker that future collectors will be going crazy to find get a hold of one of his works of art . Thanks for selling me your Norton (thats right guys I have a Zowada combo Norton hone )
Will (Classic Shaving)
First thank you for all the wonderful prizes that you had offered .
Will is a man that every one should get a chance to go for a drink with .A true pleasure to be around . The time I spent with Will was time spent great . He haves a real love and passion for what he does . We all know what kind of service he provides and how great of an experience it is to buy from him but he if I had to choose to buy from him and never get to see him again or to never be able to buy from him and go out for ONE drink with him I would by far go out for a drink with him a great person to around .
Will I know you may not like the answer (-$$$$) But it is the damn truth it was an honor to spend the time that I did with you .
I shall let you know when I do what I promised you .
A huge THANK YOU that helped out with many wonderful prizes .
I would really like to thank every one that came to the event I would love to be able to post about every single person that was there but to be honest at this time I am still a little tired .
It was an honor to meet all of you and thank you for showing up to this great event it would not have been great if you all were not there .
I will be posting pictures that I took of the event with in the next couple of days . Thank you all once again .
Nick
