yes, there are going to be drawings and I am donating a few things, any other donations are greatly appreciated! I am going to be donating some of my homemade soaps, this time I have a new scent I think people are going to like... Honey Almond.

alright, everyone who is donating something for the raffles, please show up 15 minutes early if possible so I can count up the prizes and instantiate a fair drawing system. So far it's looking like the main event will start at noon on Saturday Oct. 25.

jockeys, are you going to have any of your soaps for sale? i really like the cinammon i got last time, and it seems like the honey almond might be the ticket for the little lady.

I've never been to one of these. How does the raffle work, exactly? I'm a newbie so I don't currently have anything to donate but I should have time to order something. Any ideas of what I should order? Either some kind of item that won't already be there, or an item you can't have too many of seems like a good choice but I'd like to get your thoughts.

never thought of selling them, but I'm sure we can come to some sort of arrangement. pm me with what you want and how many, and I'll try and get 'em made up by then.
the raffle is for everyone, whether they pitch in or not. we view it as a way for seasoned shavers to give something back to the community that's helped us so much. you don't have to put anything in the pot unless you want to. these things also tend to turn into swap-meets, so if you need any gear, there will most likely be some for sale. I am going to be selling a razor or two, personally.
Also, for everyone: do you think there's enough interest in redneck scuttles for me to donate one to the raffle? I have also been thinking of donating a free honing coupon (that I would honor) to the raffle in case there is a newbie there that doesn't have honing gear and wants to get up and running. Good idea, bad idea?

as you become 'seasoned' as jockeys put it, you may find that you have some extras that you might be willing to get rid of out of generosity and paying it forward. by no means do you have to or even need to. for some it is a way to get their home made products out to some 'testers'. between those there and whatever John may bring, there will be plenty. come, ask questions, and enjoy the fun.
