I also admit Iowa is not as central as Kansas. But Tulsa is only a hundred miles from the Kansas line!

I am interested in a nat'l convention as I missed the last one

generally I believe vegas to be the best place for conventions merely because it is usually cheap to fly there from about anywhere else.

they have the blade convention in Reno in January. poor location I believe but an interesting idea would be having it in conjunction. maybe get more of the custom knife guys into making an occasional razor.

custom gunmakers and engravers have their joint convention there same time same hotel. also safari club international though, hard to get rooms and very busy.

interesting idea, I think I'd go if I could get there (wherever there is) affordably. san diego is gorgeous, I can drive there, anybody flying from big cities likely can get a good flight. just a hop over the border too for anybody that hasn't been down mexico way.

I think something that woudl be cool if there were a convention, get a couple of guest barbers, negotiate and set a price, have it setup guys can bring in their razor, or if they buy/trade for a shave ready at the show they can step-over and get a shave right there. workshops on honing, restoration, making scales etc. there is a lot that could be done, I just don't know if alone the show would have enough people to make it affordable.

it's the kind of thing I'd love to see in conjunction with a tattoo show!

So we are agreed, now all you have to do is organize it!

    Wonderful hotels also!!
And perfect year round weather. Also LOTS of other activities if you bring the wife and kids and they are not interested in a razor convention.

Wow, lots of people interested and lots of locations suggested. Maybe we can meet in numerous places throughout the world at the same time and web cast to each other? Not that I know how to set up web casts.

I gotta go with Vegas too....
Most everyone will have to fly in, and those are always cheap flights, rooms, and food......
And the most important thing, is that the better halves have something to do to occupy their time.....

    I VOTE VEGAS !!!!!!!

    BIG +1

If this comes together, count me in. I could probably do SD too, but Vegas is a great place for conventions.
