The hotel is for the out of staters, southern and eastern Oregon people.
The breakfast will be there for everyone as I am trying to get the cost figured into the package. I have it figured for 50 people which is how they structure the buffet.
Great I am glad to know that more people are coming.
Has everyone seen the Poll for date selection? Check my sig for the link.

Since I have not received a huge response about this and since I do not have the $600 to lay out for the room, I am going to have to cancel the event.
If I would have had people paypal me with some cash to get the room started I could have moved forward.
Maybe next year.

DAMN! I'm in when it happens. We should look to interest those in Cal. That's one of the reasons I thought Portland would be a good place on the west coast because it could draw in those from North, South and East. Why not start planning next year's meet now and then it can gain some momentum. Plan for the fall or next spring maybe?

I'd love to go to something, and portland is beautiful, but it breaks down to cost for me. it is too far to drive, so flight is 300+ in July Friday return sunday. same weekend, vegas, 145. that is why so many conventions happen there, it is one of the cheapest places to fly anywhere. granted everything is expensive from Fresno.
Maybe SW would have to do their own? most stuff isn't TOO far to drive, and we have lots of cities and options for where to have it.
I don't know, but I'd be very interested in attending one if I could somehow afford it. I'd definitely plan something for the wife too, that way it is a "vacation".
It's sligthly cheaper to fly to seattle
