Spouses can come. They may not find it very interesting unless a fellow shaver can get his wife to do a leg shaving demo, LADIES ONLY. We don't want guys ogling other guy's women.
Demos and stuff, that could take time. I think 8 hours split into blocks with q & as and other stuff thrown in would work.
Here is a list and pics of the ladies from Hair M that I would be inviting for Shaves, Cuts, and Massages. I am not sure if I can negotiate a price cut, but I think for mutual advertising we could work something out.
I have not contacted the lodge. But it would be at an Elks or some other lodge. Perhaps a church with a large meeting space. We have several of those here.
Saturday and Sunday for sure.

I was looking at the Facebook page for Hair M. They have a newsletter and a sound board for events and charities.
A canned food/clothes drive for the Union Gospel Mission in downtown would be great. They are the biggest mission in the area and serve more homeless and displaced people than you can shake a stick at. They also put emphasis on getting you OFF THE STREET. Which is why I like them.
I think posting something like that to them may get the attention of Hair M and perhaps there services as well. Not to mention the face book press.

Love it. I've heard of the salon but it's a little out of my way to go for a haircut (soemthing I hardly ever do) or a shave (although I'm still looking for a place to get a good, not have to do it myself shave). I think the donation idea is AWESOME that would help draw more benefical press/attention and show that we're a decent bunch of guys (& gals).
I was going to vote in the poll but since I live in the area the date doesn't realy mean much to me
I had added to my sig line to help spread the idea around a-bit then I came by a sticky(?) on the get together page. If we want to pm "Doc" we could get a little extra help in getting the word out, as well as advertising here on the site.Last edited by hornm; 10-10-2009 at 02:19 AM.

Thanked: 13246OK talked with the wifely last night about this, she says yeppers, so barring any unforeseen complications count me in....
The sooner you guys get a date, the sooner, I can put that weekend on the "Days Off" Calender..
My vote is the end of April only because I am driving, and March up here in the wilds of North Idaho can still bring quite a bit of snow....
I am up for doing whatever demo's you guys want, I will bring some Pinning stuff, Restore stuff, Hones, Strops, even Uberlather... Just let me know if there is anything special...

Thanked: 317I'm definitely interested. I've been absent from the forums too much lately.

So I have created a presentation on google Docs.
Anyone can edit so if you do drop me a line and let me know what you changed.
NOTE: ALL the content is subject to change. This is my dream situation. Nothing is nailed down.

I make a motion for April 24 and 25 2010 for the meeting.
Second?
If I don't here from anyone in 7 days from this post I'll go ahead and start working to that end.
