Hi Gents!
Unfortunately I'm out, won't be able to attend anywhere or anywhen due to Nim and other restrictions. Good luck and I hope you all have a blast.

Stu, great idea - lets make this a reality. IIRC the last one got cancelled. You all know I've still not met another SR user? Would be great to see how others hone and have discussions etc. I voted north of England, but if its ends up being in London which is more than likely, Im flexible as long as its after the 22nd June as Im away till then!

Thanked: 202As you can see you are not the only one who is wondering what happening (or not).

Yep, lets try and get something together.
At the moment the SE is looking like the popular place on the poll, so I'm going to make an executive decision and propose somewhere in London as the venue.
Give me a couple of days to have a look around for a venue that isnt going to charge us a million pounds and doesnt mind us turning up with a load of sharp blades..! I'll post back here when I have a bit more information.
So are people prepared to bring kit with them and is there anyone who is willing/able to give any classes or demonstrations?
I'm happy to do a honing clinic and bring all my rocks along if people want? If people have any dull razors they want honed, bring them along as well and you can hone them up with some free tuition.
Are there any restoration guys in the UK who can make it and might want to give a restoration demo?

Thanked: 202As I am from South East it is fine with me. What I could do is to bring my setup for flattening of badly dished hones and of course a few "rocks" e.g. DT, CF, Yelow Lake and others that people can try. However I will be limited fron September on as we expecting and it shoul happen then.

Im relatively new to honing. Polishing and touching up on the other hand I have been doing since I started 2 years ago. Some would also argue new to that also in that case!
Id be interested to see how others hone as Ive never witnessed this before.
I have an Escher, 2 cotis, Naniwa 3/8K, King 800 and a DMT 325 to bring along.
