NYC Area Meet - May 1 or 2
Greetings, ladies and gents.
I'm going to be in the NYC area for the weekend of May 1/2, and I thought I'd see if it's possible to get another get together and/or meeting set up. I don't care which day; that'll be up to whoever runs the show. If this turns out to be the same weekend as the Ft Lee meet (any news on that?) then I'll just go to that one.
I have already shared my idea with BingoBango, one of the hosts of the last NYC meet, and he's going to see if he can get the same location for this one. If not, we'll need a place.
As with last time, I'll bring what I've got - some hones, some cleaning supplies, some razors, and I'd be happy to show you guys how I use what I have and let you try what you'd like.
So, I hate to impose, but anyone wanna step up and set things up? If so, somewhere with parking would be awesome...

I'm up for a meet up. I don't have a connection to any spaces, so I don't know how much assistance I could be with setup. Can you think I've something I might be able to help with?

Thanked: 60I'll save Paul and Kevin some time.
It's my friend's spot. I spoke with him. He will check the calendar and advise if the space is available.
If someone has a better spot or the Ft. Lee meetup is that weekend that's cool too.

Oh, FWIW, if there was one meet on Sat and one on Sun, I'd have no problem going to both.

I'm not in the woods, guys. They have internet in LA.
Thanks Rob for checking on the place. For everyone else (Kevin) he's checking on getting the same place as last time.
In the meantime, I expect we'll see a lot of the same faces so maybe we should try to plan something that adds to what we learned last time. We covered basic honing and stropping, so maybe we can cover troubleshooting difficult razors, pasted strops, and do a little more restoration stuff. I'm up for going over the restorations I've been doing, and making it more of a demo. I'll try to have a project ready for pinning, and have stuff to unpin a razor for someone. Also I can bring some raw materials... I don't know I'll think about it. Any other thoughts?

Would it make sense to have stations running so guys can go where they want? Sometimes it works, sometimes not - just throwing it out there.
