Dinner and a movie still works. Sometimes just a burger and a chick-flick on the sofa. Sometimes just a bottle of wine and a bag of nacho cheese Doritos. Of course, Mike might be a little classier than me.

Last time we had one was at my shop between St. Paul and Rochester. Easy highway access, unless there's big snow happening.

We had talked about something up in the twin cities, along the lines of a razor crawl, or meeting at another venue, but that didn't develop any further. I'm open to ideas. Any weekend between the middle of January and March are open for me.

I'll lay in some lutefisk for you out of towners.... hee hee, that'll be a fair test for ya.

    Oh heavens, not the lutefisk!

I'm not too far from your shop, it sounds, and I often hear tales of its wonders... so I'm all for that venue!!

I work a lot this Jan, inventory at work, but weekends are pretty open for me year-round...

Not that this would need to be scheduled around me, of course, but the weekends that work best for me are the weekends of:

    Jan 15
    Jan 29
    Feb 12
    Feb 26
    Mar 26

I can reschedule things on most of the other weekends if needed, except for the first two in March. The first weekend in March is my sister's wedding, the following weekend I am speaking at a conference.

Since I will be a Minnesotan again soon, and since my sister in law is not speaking to me , I can probably make it!

Benjamin, I'll either be in Chatfield or Rochester, which are both along the route you would take, so we can car-pool part of the way to make Al Gore happy. That is, we can do that as long as neither of us brings too many toys. I'll be bringing my microscope again, as well as some hones and maybe my wife!

Week of Feb 12, Saturday, works for me and Bruce.

I finally finished repairing the washing machine today so now I can contact the others in our area to chime in here.
