The meet was a blast, I had a ball. Thanks to Mike for hosting and Randy for cat-herding and organizing.
I especially enjoyed watching Terry hollow grinding, he is a hollow grinding machine.
I enjoyed meeting everybody and putting faces with forum names.
There sure was a braintrust of razor knowledge there, I learned a great deal from everybody.

Mike, thanks for your hospitality at festival headquarters. Sorry I am to say, however, that the knowledge you shared on manganese alloying effect was totally overwhelmed by the spring roll salad. Sorry? Pardon me. No siree! That was the most toothsome delight I've had in months. Thank you. Now what was it that the manganese did? I have to admit that I've always been an adoring fan of molly bendem, but probably wouldn't want to shake hands with her, but that's another matter.
Gents, it was great fun meeting all of you and glad I am that Randy posted some pictures with names. My facility with names is not unlike the null set. I have some acquaintence and facility with nailsets; otherwise, null sets pretty much tells it all.
I took a name memory class once and learned that one needs to make associations with the face, the name, and some part of something or other that reminds you of something else. Let's take Mike Blue. He is actually not blue, not blue at all; you can tell that both from his conspiritorial smile and also the fact that he is definitely of a roseate hue: not blue at all. And then we have Randy - a name he shares with one of my cousins who outweighs him by about twice maybe thrice. Now if I could only figure out why those combinations work I'd be in great shape...
Oh, our Utopian did demonstrate that I do need a microscope - more on that later.
I had great fun - thanks, guys, for a great day.

Big thanks!
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for setting this up and making it so much fun.
I'm one of the newbs that showed up and had a very enjoyable time.
Randy was kind enough to help hone one of my razors. Mike was an excellent host, has a very cool shop and is inspiring with his blacksmithing skills. I don't know all the names of every it was great to see some awesome hones up close and everyone's straight razors.
Thanks again!
Matt
