Rod the coffee was really good. Thanks for bringing that.

It was a good time. Thanks to everyone for bringing all that food. I didn't get to see as much as I wanted, being distracted by questions.

Terry deserves a big thanks for helping do such a fine job demonstrating the hollow grind in his precise and ultraclean way. Randy spent the whole day with a razor flying over the stones. Now there's a fellow who can walk and talk and hone all at the same time. Charlie and Dylan deserve kudos for traveling so far to be here. A special thanks to Geezer for putting some special items into the giveaway. That brush looked really nice. I can't remember who won that, but a review should be the minimum in exhange for that.

To all the rest, thanks for warming my shop with your company. I think, if I'm a good judge of people, you all got some or more in return than you gave away by being here.

Thank you for your hospitality! If you weren't so knowledgable and willing to share you wouldn't be bothered with so many questions. [I'd rather you not change that.]

I won the brush and haven't had time to put it to use. But if it is half as good as it looks it will be spectacular!

Mike, once again a great big thank you! Your hosting of the Razor Meets is always better than I could hope for. Everyone really liked your Damascus demo and razors.

Dylan, it was really good to meet you. I really envy your collection of razors. Benjamin a big thank you for the demo on pinning and next year I will put sand on the driveway. Charlie, thanks a bunch for driving all the way from Texas...again! and for bringing those great handmade razors of yours. I will see you tomorrow. Geezer, I think all of us were impressed by your razor restorations and your custom shaving brushes. Dresden, as always you add to any meet. Everyone was glad to meet you.
Ron & Sybil, so glad to see you two again. We will keep in touch for sure.
HNSB, I was relieved that you do not resemble your avatar! Be sure and come over soon. Bruce, once again your humor was appreciated by all. Let me know how the honing on the Livi goes. Tim, you have to give me some lessons on making those razor coffins, I really liked those.
Terry, thanks for once again giving the razor hollow grinding demo. You really do know what your doing. Axel, glad you could make it, stop over soon and let me know how the hones work for you.
To all the new guys, thanks a bunch for being there! I hope you enjoyed the Razor Meet. I enjoyed meeting each of you. Perhaps now you will feel more comfortable pursuing this enjoyable & satisfying hobby of ours. To each of you, stay in touch.

Getting late for me, so I will post the pics tomorrow.

Holy cow! The meet was FANTASTIC. It was a true pleasure to meet so many of you, and one could not ask for a better host than Mike. I had a blast and can't wait to come back (via airplane).

First, of course, THANK YOU to Mike and Patty for hosting this gathering. Patty made sure the food and coffee kept coming and Mike made sure the sparks kept flying! Aside from hosting in such a great shop with so many toys, I hope everyone on this forum appreciates how much of a great resource that Mike Blue is for all things steel. If you want to know about how your razor's steel was made, Mike is the guy to ask.

It was great to meet more members of SRP. Hopefully everyone made it (or in Dylan's and Charlie's cases, will make it) home more safely than some arrived!

Just back home from the Cities.
For a Geezer/Toff; beset by worries, this event turned out to be a wonderful extension of my list of friends.
To Mike Blue, My very warmest thanks, for the venue and a lot of knowledge passed on in words and diagrams which I was able to understand! You and Charlie, and Terry with the information of and about steel and what it can be. Dylan and Benjamin, Tim and HNSB, thanks for letting me see what craftsmanship is about!
And Randy…as if I would ever leave him out. From the start of the meet to, probably well after Dennis and I left was honing and explaining in words that a newb like me has been able to understand. Ron and Sybil, It was a pleasure to meet you and all, ALL, the hones.
I know that I missed some names but am very happy to have met everyone there.
To everyone that showed up; thank you! I was made to feel at ease by all.
    Respectfully
    ~Richard / Geezer / Toff
PS, An especial thanks to Dennis for the ride and pleasant company to the meet!
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

Dennis, my mill is working much better now with a good cleaning and liberal dosing of way oil. Your criticism was well taken. I appreciate your knowledge of big shops and machine tools more than we have had time to explore yet.
