Thanked: 1371Thanks to everyone that contributed to the meet, and a big thanks to Mike for opening the shop to us.
I learned a lot from everyone, and I'm already looking forward to the next meet!

That was awesome. My first razor meet but hopefully not my last. It's a wonderful breath of fresh air to mingle with like-minded people who have an air of positivity, open-mindedness and enjoyment in something so wholesome. I'm somewhat leery of my door prize (rolls) but maybe some day I'll shave with it. I trust an open razor more than anything else though..
And a blond vampire re-pinned and re-scaled my Wapienica, how cool is that? Thanks, Benjamin! I shaved with it on Monday and not once did I think about weight/balance issues. Not a speck of blood and a really smooth, close shave. No irritation within a 24 hour period. That Wapienica, years after acquisition has finally been allowed to reveal it's inner-awesomeness.
And g-dspeed to you, Utopian. Bring 'em back, the world needs more simple elegance like the indomitable Wapienica! If you need any ideas on a seller's spiel you let me know.. I'm full of ideas (well, full of something..).
Thanks, Mike. You're a cool guy and I'm grateful for what you've shared and for providing an appropriate meeting place.

Thanked: 433Never having seen re-pinning live before, that was my favorite part of the day out side of meeting everyone. Thank Benjamin!! A new ad was born for re-scaling and better restorations.

Thanked: 995He even took my suggestion that it would go faster with a four pound hammer without even blinking. In between taps with those little tiny hammer looking things.... I admire a fellow who has that kind of focused discipline.

Thanked: 1371I wonder if that's what happens at these things. I walked away with a burning desire for a set of Shapton Pro's.
