    Arrow Toronto and Area Meet

    Hi all,

It seems that there has been quite a bit of discussion lately on meets. TrilliumLT PM'd me this afternoon and raised the question of a Toronto meet.

We've got some new members in this area as of very recently, and I think this is a great idea.

Anyone within driving distance interested in coming to T.O.??

Having never done anything like this before, I'm going to assume that the first step is to determine how much interest we have, and then to pick a weekend that will work.

How does this sound to people?

    So far:

    Maxi - Toronto
    TrilliumLT - Oshawa
    Basil - Toronto
    Wmac - Toronto
    MWS - Mississauga
    MrRyder - GTA
    SleekandSmooth - Cambridge
    Holli4 - NY

Sounds good if we can work out a time I'm in.

I'd be interested depending on the date.
Please put me down as "interested"...and thanks!

I'd be all over that. I live in the extended GTA.

I'm in Rochester, NY, and I'd be interested. I'll have to get a passport first, though. I've never actually been to Canada...

My exprience with meets is that once there are at least 5 people (approx) interested, it's a good idea to set a date and location. Sometimes a few people can't make it, but it seems that just picking a date is better than trying to accomidate everyone (unless there are a lot of people who can't make a given date).

Ok, we've got about 8 people.

When would be a good time for most people. I have no idea how far in advance to plan, but if we're doing impromptu things, I have no problems with April, May or June of this year.

May 21st is the long weekend Saturday, which would give people extra travel time.??

    May 28th??

Holli - thanks for the tip, and BTW....Canada is good times (or at least I think so....)

April or May would work for me. Long weekends can be a double edge razor.

I really prefer straights to DE's!

But I agree - long weekends are often family time or time for projects/trips.
