    Default Thanks Bob!!!

    WOWZA!!!

What a great weekend and awesome opportunity I had spending the weekend with Bob Allman. I will never be able to thank Bob enough for the hospitality from both he and his wife Cathy along with sister in law Mary. These are some of the nicest people I have ever met and I am so grateful for them taking me into their beautiful home. The ladies can cook too!!!!

Bob, what an immense amount of patience you displayed in teaching me how to hollow grind a razor all the way to full hollow. From the design phase to every step you showed me, taught me lessons in razor making that I could have spent years trying to figure out. And, I only foiled one of the two razors I was working on.......lol. Mission accomplished!!

If anyone of you guys ever get the chance to attend the Bob Allman OCD School of razor making, I suggest you leap at the opportunity. You will not regret it.

It was also nice to get to meet some of the Houston members personally along with getting to meet Paul Richmond. I hope to get to see you all again some time.

We had so much fun, that I keep smiling with all the great memories. Bob to me out for tongue taco's and they were killer. We also had some great Sushi and Chinese food. I got a shave from "The Bug" along with Bob at the barber shop and we had a great time there.

Hopefully, I'll get a picture of my razor up and Mary took some great pictures but the file was too big to be able to make it to me to post here. I think I have some pictures of Bob and I getting shaved too.

Bob, you are a super individual and I am very happy to have gotten to know you and thankful for what you bring to the forum as well.

    All the best.

I wish I hadn't looked at the pictures because it makes me even sicker that I couldn't be there. Bob, Cathy, and Mary have to be THE BEST hosts in the world. Lynn, I'll have to partially disagree - when I visited Bob earlier in the year he took me to the Mexican grocery grill. Although their food was great, next time I think I'll skip the tongue taco (picture taken at Mexican grill during my visit to Bob's earlier this year).

Yes it was, and the tongue tacos are great.

Really enjoyed the meet and putting faces to names. Lynn thanks for coming down. And thanks to the girls for cooking for us.
