Yeah unfortunately I will not be able to attend. I am being voted in as a deacon for my church.
I hope all of you have a great time.
I hope to see you guys at another meet.

Hey guys, sorry to say I won't be making it to the meetup. I'm going to be away for a business event for my company. Next time for sure!
There is always a solution, whether it's already present or if you have to make it.

This is great I will be there for this event. The timing is perfect, since this str8 razor venture is new territory for me. Thanks to all who were instrumental in planning this event and bringing there wares to view.

I think I am going to bring pretty much all of my straight razor stuff that I have including a norton that needs to be lapped, a slightly nicked strop, and of course a razor that I can practice honing with. I know there is a lot of info out there about lapping stones and fixing nicked strops and such but I thought maybe some if the newer guys like myself could benefit from a little demonstration by some of the more seasoned vets. Is there anything else we might need, food, coffee, etc?

Having the same issue here. My technique is to finish shaving with the straight razor and then touch up with a DE...but after Sunday all secrets will be revealed.

Make that three of us and being that I typically only shave my neck this is kind of important.

Now the question is, should before the meet or wait and shave there? LOL

I don't know if there is a place to shave that you would actually like. I guess you can try.

Jeff gives answers so good you need to read them twice!
    mjsorkin and icefalkon like this.
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

    Peter,

I do the same thing. I actually go straight across my neck with a DE and then do some touch up buffing with the DE. I'd like to be able to do away with the DE altogether.
