Although I'm about 6 hrs away, I had hoped to make it since I trained and then worked in St. Louis a few years back. St. Louis is a great town, great food, great people and I'm sure it was a great meet up. I'm hoping to host a get together either March or April if there is enough interest. Huntsville is about half way between Nashville and Birmingham. It's about 90 mins from Chattanooga and 3 hours from both Atlanta & Memphis. Just let me know if you're interested and I'll start looking at dates.

Another fellah saying thanks. Our test shaver isn't actually a registered member here at SRP, but I think you'll all be seeing him again real soon. He said if not for this little adventure, he might not have tried to use a straight razor again. He walked away with a lot more confidence in his technique, and armed with much more knowledge than he arrived with.

I really had a good time, and it was great to talk to people in real time about honing, restoration, and just razors in general. And Tim...Keep track of that roundpoint Keen Kutter.

Thanks everyone for the meet up today. I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at how helpful and genuinely nice everyone was. I learned a ton and I definitely need to work on my RAD after seeing everyones collections (especially Tims). I appreciate everyones help, tips, tricks, ideas, and opinions that they shared today. Thanks again Andrew for opening your home. Hope to see you all again soon.

Here are some photos. Shouts outs to Lynn for being there, Andrew for hosting, and Tim for so many amazing blades! It was so nice to talk razors, brushes, soaps, and everything shaving with everyone. Glad I got to make it! Here are few pics I managed to sneek on my iPhone:

Had a great time, thanks Andrew for opening your house to all of us. Glad to meet some new folks. I always learn a thing or two at these meet ups (makes the eight hours i didn't in my car worth it). Thanks to Lynn for the great raffle prizes, and it was great to see someone get their very first straight shave in.

Glad everybody who made it did! I had a great time even though the day seemed to fly by. Here I was worried we wouldn't have enough to keep us busy, but Lynn gave some great demonstrations, and I even managed to make it through about 12 razors on my hones by the time the day was over. I'm thinking this will definitely have to be an annal sort of thing, and I am more than willing to host again next time around.

Had a great time at the meet and Lynn's advice was golden. Especially liked giving live shaving commentary to the two new shavers.

Also big thanks to Tim causing RAD to spark. Buying a blade from him.

Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

Had a great time. Was well worth the drive up. Thanks to Andrew for providing a meeting place. Thanks for the help and access to the tools to get my razors in shape. Thanks to Lynn for all the knowledge he shares at these events. Also, thanks to Lynn, for the give always he brings to these events. We all enjoy. To Andrew, let your wife know it was great that she supported this event and let her know this was a good time for all. Thanks for her support. Bottom line good time!
