Rest in Peace Bob/lz6
I am very saddened to post that Bob Blum aka lz6 passed away peacefully this past Friday.
Bob was kind, unassuming, and extremely generous. Bob loved our community immensely and his integrity and wisdom have been invaluable to us.
As many of you know as a young lad he served in Vietnam with great honor as a pathfinder and throughout his life he kept in touch with his detachment and supported them in every deployment.
Being always eager to help he led our “operation WetShave” with great success and we couldn’t have asked for a better person.
Bob was passionate about our hobby and he enjoyed refurbishing old razors, tinkering in his garage. He enjoyed using his straight razors right until his last few weeks.
With his passing we lost a great man who was deeply loved and respected by all.
Rest in Peace, my friend.

Bob was a wonderful guy, always willing to help. As mentioned he instigated 'Operation Wet Shave' and so many of us jumped on the opportunity to help out, myself included.
He was so helpful when I wanted to replace my cousin's medals. Here:https://sharprazorpalace.com/convers...g-warrior.html
I remember him writing that while it was doubtful that they had met in person in Nam, he was sure that they had worked on the same missions together.
My heartfelt condolences to Bob's family and friends. May he rest in peace. Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

Tragically, this sub forum continues to grow.
Another old timer bites the dust, very sad news indeed.
My condolences to all who knew him. He will be missed but will live on in our memories. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Very sorry to hear this. :(
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanked: 2209Gugi, thanks for posting this. I did not know him all that well but he certainly contributed a lot to this SRP.
Had I known that he was a "Pathfinder" in Nam I would have asked if he knew a friend of mine who filled that role for 5 years.
I always wondered what "lz6" meant to him.Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin
