On hearing this sad news my thoughts and prayers go out to Dave's family. Their loss is made even more difficult to deal with being so close to Christmas.

I never knew Dave but recognized that he contributed heavily to this forum and his contributions will be sorely missed. RIP Dave.

I always admired Dave because of his devotion to his young children. I enjoyed seeing their smiling faces on his posts of them, and he was such a proud papa. I'll miss Dave's participation on the forum, but my heart goes out to his young children.

While I only knew Dave as a forum member,I too feel a loss of a brother when it comes to this forum. May he be resting on a nice cloud up there away from all our earthly woes. Smooth shave always Dave.

He will be missed yet always remembered. I spent a good deal of time with him on the phone and I liked him. He was a good guy and father. I personally will mourn his passing

One of the good guys! Corresponded with Dave a few times and it was always pleasant. I was very shocked to hear this news! Deepest sympathy to his family!

It is indeed a terrible loss, for us and even more for his family.

Dave was such an optimistic and upbeat person - every time we communicated I felt so uplifted afterwards!
He was also the first to volunteer with whatever need arose - the giveaways, Movember, anything! And he was just as generous in his day-to-day life - he loved to help anyone he met and particularly veterans - he made bbq on a regular basis!

Above all he loved his kids immensely!

I didn't know Dave all that well, but every little piece I saw was precious.

RIP Dave, we all miss you.

    Such sad news.
It showed how much he cared for and loved those boys.
Hope they get the support they will need from such a big loss.
