Thanked: 4206Obie was a class act. Chatted with him often off line and really enjoyed his slant on things. He was kind with his suggestions, fair in his dealings, and while we never met in person, I think we would have gotten along just fine.

Thanked: 603Obie's Obit [WMSE]
I was a faithful listener of Obie's Sunday morning show on Milwaukee's WMSE (8-9am, Central), and had a feeling that what would have been today's show might mention his passing. I wasn't wrong. [if you're in a hurry, begin at 00:02:10]

I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

Terrible news. Obviously he was one of the team leaders here who never got tired of making contributions. He will be missed.

Obie had been to my house several times. He enjoyed the meets and sometimes came just to talk. He and his wife enjoyed the food and especially Bon's pecan pie. He was a eye patient of my son's at the VA
I'm going to miss Obie.If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.
