Thread: What's your trouble spots?

I know that majority of us like to be BBS and very well groomed from the neck up. But I know everyone has their trouble spots. So I thought it would be nice to see where everyone is at.

So what is your trouble spots on that dome of yours, whether it is on the dome, ears, nose hair or whatever? And if you have found solution to your spot, what is it? If not let us help.

Mine tends to be on the top where my sides of my head meets the back of my head on both sides. It always seems to be if my blade is going to bind and chatter it is here. So I always before I go ATG I have to strop again and make sure my edge is very keen. When it comes to the stroke, I have to go with a heavy guillotine stroke to get them BBS.

Have not started using a SR yet, so there will likely be a host of NEW trouble spots, but the area directly behind my ears has always been a pita. It is because it is somewhat of a "hollow" between the base of the skull and the lower rear portion of the earlobe.

Behind my ears is my hardest spot. I also have a scar that is slightly raised which the razor seems to snag on. I'm still new to this but working on it, have gotten better just from watching videos on you tube. I don't shave the top off my head since there is no hair there, but I ran the razor across last shave and it seems as though my head isn't all that round! Will pay more attention this Saturday. I can get a BBS fairly easy since there is not much there to start with.

I have trouble with under my nose and on my cheek right under my ears. Matching cuts there

I have two furs in the back of my head going lenghtwise from ear to ear.
Those seems to be in eternal conflict with my ATG passes back there.
Just above them there are two indents, one behind and slightly higher than my ears that seemed to take forever to learn how to get right.

My forehead on the other hand, mother nature took care of that years ago

Just on and under my right jawline. My beard grows from left to right there . So far the solution is to shave it multiple times until it is smooth...... and often irritated.

My main trouble spot with a straight on my head is behind the ears an the hollow under my crown area. With a DE don't have any issues. Probably why the DE gets so much use for my head an straights tend to stay on my face.

I run into issues with a couple of moles on my head from time to time (should probably have them removed) especially with a straight razor. Right at the back of the head, there's that part of the skull that protrudes that can be a problem. I navigate with a DE typically with no issue.
If I don't achieve BBS I'm not happy, the stubble grabs my T-shirts when putting them on and it turns into a wrestling match LOL. My pillow when I'm trying to sleep can be an issue too.

Right around the ears is a bear. I'm so leary of cutting myself and having to wait for the healing up that I'll still finish with my HB. Once a week the little electric clippers come out to get the few that seem to be growing in the groove, (ear to head connection). I have a few spots where the hair grows in multiple directions and I have to make multiple passes to get smooth. I'm sporting stubble now, been a bad couple of weeks for me and blade. I primarily use DE & HB, usually daily, as my weapons of choice. I just don't have enough time to SR shave my head.
Funny thing is that the "trouble spotS" seem to migrate on me. Somedays the ears, others the back of the head and I can't stand the velcro feel for days 2 and 3. I almost hit the ground one night trying to pull a shirt over my head. I gave a good pull, the shirt grabbed the stubble and over I started...... lucked out and caught myself. That would have been EMBARRASSING. Try to explain those bruises or stitches.

I feel your pain! I've done the shirt thing. Haha!
