Thanked: 2GDay
I use my 6/8 for face and head and it ploughs through it! Just needs to be honed a bit more often.

I use one of my SRs for my face, but use an open comb DE with Feather blades for my head. The Feather blades are usually good for 2 or 3 head shaves.

I shave my face with a straight and my head with a safety razor, most recently I like to use AC razors.

Thanked: 61I've used a straight for my head too and don't mind it, but there are a few parts I can never quite get, like right near the base of the skull. In either case, I don't have a mirror I can use to see the back of my head, so I just use feel and muscle memory to get things, almost like a combination of the angle needed to use the straight and the motion one would use when brushing one's hair. I've recently started head shaving and I've taken to using a DE for my head and a straight for my face, like Jgreenepa.

Thanked: 1587I never used to use separate blades for my face or head - just a strop and a water refresh in the basin between finishing my face and starting on my head. Now I only do my head with a straight razor (I am growing a zz top beard - well that's the goal, might end up a zz flop yet...).
