Nagura slurry stone
The 1K Chosera stone is sold with a companion Nagura slurry stone.
Does the Nagura make Nagura slurry or Chosera slurry?
And how about using the Nagura with higher grit stones, like the
Naniwa 12K?

I actually chucked my nagura stone for my Chosera 1K because I didn't think it was necessary.

Thanked: 2591It is a mix of both slurries.
That stone that comes with the choseras is not slurry stone it is for conditioning AKA cleaning the surface of the stone.
I trashed mine as soon as I took them out of the boxes. I prefer to clean the stone surfaces with DMT or AtomaStefan

A true slurry Nagura stone is very soft almost like a chalk.

Thanked: 2591You will have a mix of 600 grit and 1k grit, I did not particularly like to use it. The slurry from the conditioning stone will impart deeper scratches on the bevel, then you hav to clean the stone and use it again to get the 1k finish, for me that is one step too long.

I'm looking at this one on eBay:
Anybody confident with this Naniwa Nagura 65 x 47 x 32mm ?
I wonder, what is the grit of it and on which stones (grit) can I use it on efficiently ?
