Also on one side the strokes are more circular than the other and you can tell one side is getting more pressure than the other.

I found that a 3:1 ratio worked really well for me. As long as you get it to shave well then it doesn't really matter which ratio you use. The shape of the blade is obviously designed to take more honing on one side than the other. How you do that is really a matter of preference.

I guess you guys are right! I am excited! The logic that makes sense to me that i read somewhere is that if you hone one side more than the other you will be changing the angle... Makes a bit sense ti me... If you hone 50/50 any razor, knife or anything... It should keep the same angle that it had prior to honing... Does that makes sense? If i hone a western style razor 7-1 ratio it will change the angle... Correct!? So if i hone a kami more in one side ... Wouldnt that change the anhle in the long run? Pardon my ignorance... Playing devils advocate... Well kinda...
