    This looks pretty normal at the 1K level. You should be looking at how consistent the bevel is at the edge and to make sure all the metal, all the way down the bevel is consistent from/with the stone you are using. The edge will not be nice and straight and pretty at this level like you would expect after a finishing stone and a strop.
