Best thing about it is the fact I can get probably 4 more hones possibly bigger ones out of that rock if it gives good results

rocks big enough for many hones are my favorites. It's pretty fun to break out many. Biggest so far is 12. I have one that I have cut down to slab recently that should net that many. It takes a long time to work one hone out of a small rock, and so many of them have cracks in the end.

This one has some cracking on the exposed end so may end up as a 4 1/2" or 5" by 3"...which is plenty sufficient ...will know once I get it lapped on that larger low spot

A customer of mine snagged the rocks for me so all I had to do was load it from his trunk to my jeep

Dennis, first you had razor guy coming around all the time and now you have rock guy, this is crazy! The story of how I get my rock is a little more involved.

Lol...ive got some spots picked out for rock along the road, here half the roads cut through hills so there are plenty of places to get rock 1-200 feet deep basically cut into hills
