I have always been a fan of the Jnat hone. The first one I bought was from old_school. It was a Nakayama Maruichi Asagi.
I had it evaluated by two well known honemeisters and the basic opinion I received was " Do not ever sell this hone". I still have this hone based on that advice.

For several years I also kept a Light Green Escher on the pile but rarely used it. And recently I have decided to justify the purchase of this Escher by finishing some razors on it.

Times change and apparently so does stone preference. As it stands now, I would just as soon shave off an Escher than a jnat . At any rate, it has kicked up my enjoyment of honing razors.
