I have only tried water for the review I did.
As for the inclusions, they did not damage the edge & in the beginning I tried to "catch" the edge on the large inclusion, but it ran as smooth as the rest of the stone. I did not see inclusions, this large, in the other photos of Shaun Stones.
Even though they are large on this stone, they are not large enough for me to determine if they are harder or softer than the rest of the stone.
I will put some magnification on the stone tonight, as it is dry & let you know what I see.

Thanked: 4826When you look at the stone under magnification one of the things you will see it teeny tiny flecks of gold.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

This thread kept popping into my head every time I saw a hone-sized rock while hiking this afternoon.

I've been looking at every paving stone I see...well, every rock, really while on the mountain bike.
Btw-what are grit estimations? I'm completely new at this, but it you did a 1k,4k,8k and finishing on the Haida Gwaii and did as well as you did on the Sheffieez, I'm going to guess its about 10K. How far off do you think that estimate is?
Great initiative, Shaun and great post, Hirlau!

If you keep testing razors on your arms & legs, she might call the wagon anyway,,,
