Default How much magnification is enough??

To make my post relevant, I'm asking how much magnification is needed to observe the physical differences above the 12K level?

I've got a cheapie 30x loupe and it's the only thing I know.

    All opinions are welcome.

All I've ever relied upon is a 10X loupe. Edge differences beyond that resolution don't seem to have any impact on shave quality.

8 - 10 x is plenty for honing. If you're talking photography 200x is ample.

If you have a quality instrument 10x is plenty. Most of the time I use a 6x and it shows me everything I need to see.
