    About the reconditioning of BHs, I followed a manual: How to lap a Barber hone.
    I don't have any of my own knowledge to lean on. Seems pretty clear about most things SR-related. I'm still a humble noob.

    Blocked at work! Will have to steal my Wife's Tablet when I get home. My lap tops video card is toast, and I'm trying to decide weather to get a IPAD or another Microsoft based lap top

    if you can hone a razor you can probebly replace a video card in your laptop, there are some realy detailed guides out there on how to do something like that

    this topic is making me dive into the information on barber hones by the way,.. at least, this is one I will remember

    Would it be a silly question to ask what this hone is made of? It looks somewhat translucent in one of the photos but I may just be seeing things!

    I would guess a kind of Ruby dust in different size/grit... i read that its Shellac based....but all info i read somewhere
