Thanked: 1184The good thing about a diamond blade is that it won't cut through your skin. Burn through maybe if your drunk enough to hold it there that long.
If you do go that route use a dust mask and they work better with water. Not under water but a little stream. I just do what pixel suggested. I should say I am the guy he would go to. :<0)Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

If it's only the 1 cut you plan to make you might want to try just using a regular 12" hacksaw blade and a lot of water. If it works you'll have a thinner cut than the tungsten carbide blade will make, And because the regular blade is flat the cut is less likely to wander. I suspect the blade will be shot after making the cut but you should get through fairly fast. Just keep everything soaked Working in or above a basin of water and just let the blade do the work, If you push it the blade will probably loose all it's teeth in a few mins!
