So you got these two razors new? The current "Not a Replica" on the Baxter site has a straight spine so yours may be older? Either way it seems to have uneven spine wear near the toe but that may be a lighting/angle issue (post #7), and as previously mentioned there looks to be a heel hook. Both would indicate a fair amount of honing has been done on this razor.

From my very limited experience I would suggest you remove the tape, blacken the edge and the spine with magic marker and take a few strokes on a 1K or 4K to see where the razor is contacting the stone. You can then adjust your stroke to address any uneven spine wear and edge contact. Another option would be to keep the very nice blades away from your hones pick up a couple of cheap razors to develop your honing skill.
