He's pretty good most of the time. He just loves computer games. And with that love comes a desire to just complete the next level.... 3am rolls up and your still not ready to sleep. I'm guilty of it myself.
Fortunately he's not into going out, getting drunk, and bringing loose women back to the house. I think when that happens I'll struggle to work out if I should congratulate or berate him! If he becomes anything like I was at 18-25 then I have a whole world of amusement to come. Not sure his mum will share my enthusiasm!
Those are the best I've been told, You can hand them back after feeding them with loads of sweets!Real name, Blake

Thanked: 8It might be a genuine yellow lake oilstone. I have two and they look very similar to the one pictured.

It's here!
Right first impressions.
8" x 1 3/4" x 1/2". Dark grey (but not black).
It had never been lapped, All sides showed signs of been factory finished. Looks to be a rotating sand finish. 1 end has a mild chamfer that affects about 1/2" of honing surface on both sides. So it is perhaps a factory second.
The box is waxed card, Reasonable condition, no signs of having ever been printed.
So I've lapped 1 side. It's very very soft. Thuri soft. There is 1 small inclusion in the form of a lighter line at one end of the hone running diagonally and through the hone to the other side.
Lapping was done on a diamond 300 plate, then followed with a 600 plate. It only needed a few passes to remove enough material to become a honing face.
The final surface is clean, no inclusions apart from the line, And sparkling like nothing I have ever encountered. It also has a slight thunderstorm like effect.
I'm suspecting it's a late black thuri.
Pictures will come tomorrow.
I ran my trusty RSO on it. It was passing the HHT at 2 before this stone. After this stone it was on a solid 4. More testing is needed but I think I might have won the lottery on this one.Real name, Blake
