I'm with you on the feel of the Chosera, it has such satisfying feedback. Sadly, the only other Chosera that I have is the 400, which I use on rough restores and other sharpening applications. It is fantastic as well. The 1k is my favorite stone. Smooth, fast, consistent cut pattern. What's not to like. Although when I think about function vs cost, I have to admit the difference in results for price are not justified unless a person does tons of bevel setting. I don't do enough of this to warrant the price , but I am willing spend a lot more money for a stone that feels a bit better, cuts a bit faster, leaves a bit less inconsistency in cut pattern, and makes me smile ☺ I actually blame my Chosera for getting me into straights (originally bought it for knives).
