I kindly refer you to the search box, your best friend on the site.

Just type in barber's hone in the Advanced Search box, not the name of your hone. This will give you a plethora of information.....after that it will be your razor on your barber's hone on your face for the truth.

Locating information on that particular hone, the "Cotl", may be & is a little difficult,,, I just tried my GOOGLE FU on it with no results,,,,

    But,,,,

That hone was made by the American Hone Company & there is a wealth of information on that company , here on SRP & in the general GOOGLE search. This information leads you to other famous hones that were made by this same company,,,, there are lots on tests run on these other hones,,,, yes I know its not the Cotl,,,,,, so I suggest you send it to a member who can accurately test it for you or give it a try yourself,,, just keep track of your test by razor type, other stones in the progression & the end results of the shave test with the Cotl. , There are guys here that would test it for you,,,

Thanks Hirlau, I don't actually have the stone or I would test it myself, I just wondered if anyone else had information on this particular hone.

Not that's not the one I kept seeing,,,, that one looks nice,,,,

If it is something that interests you, then get it if you can,,,, experiment with it & do a good write up with photos & finally there will be some information on a Cotl.

If you're a collector of barber hones, then it looks nice & there don't seem to be a lot of them out there, only you can say what one is worth to you.

If you are looking to put it into a progression, then the lack of information on it's performance, makes it a risk; if the price is higher than other established barber hones which may be a lot less.

Thanks Hirlau for your replies. I was just hoping to find a bit more about it before wasting time on a lousy stone, but who knows....either bad or good.
