I have the same hone. It's a thuringian and could have been made by Escher and rebranded. I have a large collection of hones and my Droescher is in the top 3 hones that I use. Excellent find and for a great price!

We really can't see the entire stone's condition,,, but always start simple & safe,,, progress from there, if needed.
**** First be aware of any labels that might be attached to the stone*****
If so, then they have to be protected,, there are threads on this subject.
If not, start with some dish soap & a toothbrush,,, Simple Green can be used also, I cut my Simple Green 50/50 with water & it still gets the job done.
Do this ,then take a look at the stone & if it needs something stronger, let us know.
I have Two Droescher hones. Exactly the same as this one. To my knowledge they are re-branded or white labeled J G Esscher hones and are excellent. For all intents and purposes they are Eschers, usually will sell at Escher prices, and will perform as such.

The label was likely attached at some point. The hone is essentially on par with the Eschers, as it is a select Thurigian. It will have a used side that will need a little lapping with a standard pencil grid. Protect the label that is not attached and reattach it and protect it in place one you have it lapped. The label actually effects the value.
P.S.
I would PM JimmyHAD or Geezer for instruction on re attaching the label and protecting it. I covered my attached label with CA
