I've polished the surface with wet sandpaper ( 400, then 1200 ) then rubbed the coticule slurry stone approx. 5 minutes, then washed the Charnley with brush to clean out all of the coticule slurry ....the surface of the hone became very-very fine similar to the translucent arkansas hone.
