Actually, the 1k Chosera (now Professional) was the last Naniwa I bought, because I was already happy with my other bevel setters. 18 other Naniwas preceded it.

I don't know what else you have, but you cannot go wrong with Naniwas of either type. I think the Choseras are better (actually they are AWESOMER) in the lower grits.

The 3K Chosera is a real workhorse, couldn't live without one. Good choice of stone, I hope you enjoy it more and more!

I have the other Naniwa's that come on the plastic stand with rubber pads. I also have Norton's & Shapton's. I have a Jnat, Charnley Forest, 2 Chinese naturals, an 8" Swaty but I love my Chosera (newer) 1k. I would love to get the others as well but can't do it now. I need to hone a few razors & sell them. I just paid a friend for helping me get the nice C-Mon & Joseph Elliot Chinese I got a few weeks ago after seling a Muncie 4 speed on Craigslist. I had that thing listed for a few months. I also have some older Harley parts in the garage I need to go through & get rid of. They won't work on my Harley I recently got in an accident on.
