    Don't worry, she's my buddy... I wouldn't do anything to hurt her. I think she just sensed that I wanted to shave her tummy, and reacted with a "... that's what you think" reaction. She, and her brother, are both docile cats, but highly intelligent... almost dog-like.

    The good news is that you will eventually get to the stage where you know when you are done so no test shave of the arm required. I still tree top my arm hair when I have finished a touch up just to play around. With the cat, you are holding a surgically sharp instrument, not a good idea with a animal that potentially could squirm or react no matter how docile.
