No sales talk in the open forums Ron ! ..........
Just kidding Ron, I know you weren't being serious ....... anyway ........ better yet ..... buy a single grit Norton 4k, and a single grit 8k. Hone on the 3" side when you want, or lay it on its side and you have a 1" side. I've done that a couple of times years ago, but it isn't really 'that' better than the 3" side regardless of the razor .... IMHO.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 3795Sorry, please don't ban me!
Actually, I did do exactly what you described. Unfortunately (only in this instance) my Nortons were THESE. Because they were clamped into place, I got tired of removing the clamps and I was also worried that I might narrow the hones too much and they would no longer be held by the clamps. Since it took me a while longer than it should have to wisen up, I broke down and bought the narrow hones that are NOT FOR SALE!
