Thanked: 71looks like a labeled Escher with BD layering on the bay right now, I just bought a multi layered Hohenzollern or I would be buying it instead of writing about it lol. Is the only way to tell the layering? The label doesn't designate it that I could tell correct?

Thanked: 169Eeh, lunes and special stones often have partial or full side stamps at least and I haven't seen anyone fake one. This is the 2nd biggest slab of special stone I have, you can still see the ex from extra fine bit that's about it.

Thanked: 169Bought a new Barber's Delight recently. Haven't had one since 2017 when I had to sell it and a few other things to cover an insurance shortfall on a funeral. Partial back label, most of the gelbgrün label intact. Had to seal it. No red box or slurry unfortunately, so I needed to acquire a yellow green fragment for that purpose. Be interesting how it compares to the boxed blue green I have. It's rare I have multiple thuris around to a/b as I tend to gravitate to other things.

I was lucky to stumble into a B/G BD, at a flea market. No box, lable, or slurry stone, and filthy, I wasn't positive of what I had, till I cleaned it up.
$15, fellas...... Don't be hatin, now.
Label or not, those in the know, know what it is.Mike

Label's are nice but a great stone with no label and dirt cheap is way better. You can't hone on a label. Nice find!
