    Default Escher Identification

Picked this up from a member of a different shaving forum, it's has the Escher Cup on the label, is 7" x 1.7" x .5" it's says, "Water Razor Hone - First/Best Quality", I thought it almost said, "Easy Quality", my eyes aren't what they used to be.

I've looked in the library, and can't find a similar label to this one, any ideas?

The idea which comes to my mind is to tape the thing around the label, spray it with polyurethane.
Then, finish some razors! Let's see the other side.

Very nice size...not as wide as my other Escher, but the length is very nice:

    This one is 7" x 1.7" x .5"

It doesn't say Escher either, it has the goblet, and I've been through the library here and haven't found a similar label.

    Escher or Droescher?
Yes it was. AFAIK if the goblet has an "E&Co" inside it that was Escher's logo.

I have protected my Escher labels with good quality fingernail polisher. That was a few years ago and labels are still
quite well intact. Seems to work. YMMV

I should have been more specific, my apologies.

What I was trying to figure out was does the label itself identify it as a variation on a Barber's Delight or some other type of Escher stone since the actual name is not on it. And whether the label in particular identifies it's grade? Would the label potentially identify it as a Blue, yellow, Y/G etc., is more what I was after also in that I haven't found another using the search function with a similar looking label.

    Hope this clarifies.

edited to add: wondered why I wasn't seeing any email notifications from threads I had clearly subscribed to, sure enough, somehow everything from SRP got tagged as, "Spam", crap, been missing a lot of good stuff the last three days!

IME only Escher end labels specify grade/color. None of the back labels I've seen ever specify color.

also in that I haven't found another using the search function with a similar looking label.
I don't recall seeing that label in the past. The old blue 'Celebrated German Water Hone' had the goblet/cup with the E&Co inside it, maybe one or two others. Someone may be along who is familiar with it. They had a series of variations in labels over the years.
