Thanked: 26About cheap syntheric
Edit: Synthetic!!
Hey guys, there's something i have wondered every time i see it, maybe someone here knows the answer.
I have a few nice easy cheap hones that i use mainly for knives. After use, maybe a day later, when i look at them, one or two of them have a strange H type drying pattern as if there are hollow portions of the hone.
kinda looks like the two big rectangles may hollow or something. Any guesses or knowledge?
thanks

Thanked: 3Did it come with a rubber base with that shape? The cheaper synthetic water stones from China tend to come with them and using it leaves that pattern on the stone.
