I like very light Thüringen slurry and dilute to clear water with a couple drops of Smith’s Honing solution on a well prepped edge.

Sometimes those slurry combinations work well, try it, you might find a good combination, just look at the scratch pattern and the edge. I have just never tried the BBW slurry with it. BBW is a nice mid range stone.
