Thread: Thuringian 1x5 tool grade?

    I has a few of those litle rocks and i still had 2 of them as they are awsome in quality .
    Those are a black mottled thuris , the slurry has a pinkish hue in it and they are very fast and fine cuters .
    I still use mine everytime to make slurry onthe biggest thiris . They were sold in those
    sizes for razors and they may look a litle diferent than the gray and green stones but give very good edge .
    I canot detect dference on the edjes from those small fellas and the biggest blue green stones
    Those small black mottled even are finer and harder than some of the blue stones . so enjoy , you have very good stone there

    Well I am not sure about the hone. From the pictures it does not look like the typical black mottled hones - at least the ones I have reported about. The hone looks more grainy when wet than mottled. It could of course be a thuringian though, there are also grainy looking black hones that have been mined in the thuringian area.
