I'm not keen on the UK stones either. I might get banned for saying this, but I've never had any desire to try the Nortons, Zulus, or Arks as well.

Tam o shanters, dalmore as well for that matter.
I like J-Nats and Suehiro 20k.
The jury is still out on Thuris.
Coticules do not do it for me, but I like how they feel and the looks.
Not interested in anything esle
Thuris are another. Not that they are not great, it's more once you get one with a hardness that suits your preferences, you get similar performance from all of them. It's amazing how consistent they are. I just retain one and some slurry stones now
I've never really been interested in JNATS for some reason, they seem like to much to learn
Synthetics. I have no interest in them at all. I won't be foolish enough to say I never will but for now they lack the romance. You never see a thread saying "show me your synthetics". I like the challenge, nostalgia, and edges from natural stones. I don't notice a whole time difference for me either when using natural vs synthetics and have sold all but two of my synthetic stones. I keep them because "you never know" but they just sit collecting dust for now. I don't even use the 1K bevel setter anymore as I found a very efficient natural stone for that. (Thanks to Dave W.)
Nearly all synthethics, besides a 10K Specialty and a 1K/6K King Kombo stone....
Tam o Shanters (i collected some, but i dont like them too much), Zulus (never had one)
Got rid of all my synethetics except for my chosera 1k. I also sold my Japanese natural finishing stone. I felt I didn't need it to get edges I like.
I have a Cretan hone which I hoped could replace my chosera 1k, but it's just way too slow for heavier edge restoration work. What is your natural bevel setter Steel?
So as to not hijack this thread I responded to your PM :tu
