Thanked: 8Those images are amazing. I'm looking I guess for a stone that's not going to be a struggle to produce a nice finish edge, from the old "one stone" method. If I can't have that, I'll just buy two. I really would like to have a coti capable of that tho.

There is a 'La Petite Blanche' on eBay right now, I'll PM you the link. That is the only other one I've ever personally seen for sale, but I'm sure they're out there. As far as a one-stone solution, a 'La Verte' or 'La Veinette' will certainly do very nicely. I love my little 'La Veinette' so much that I'm looking for a larger one to compliment it.

If you're up for it look for a les latenuses. My favourite vein.

Thanked: 8Wow, that is insane looking! Where did you come by that? I've literally been stalking coticule purchasing sites and vintage shops for months and months and I've yet to see one that unique!

Thanked: 8So in all honesty guys. How long did it take to "figure out" your coti's?

Best bet for the most unique coticules is ebay. Coticule resale stores get the run of the mill coticules from ardennes. Not bad coticules of course but nothing special in my opinion. I've had one of the "la Grise" looking slow coticules before and thought it sucked in comparison to the one I pictured. I know not all stones are the same but they are not all created equal and some are better then others...
I'd keep my eyes peeled on the Bay. More chances of getting a truly unique coticule in both appearance and features.. old combo stones > newly mined run of the mill stones in my opinion...
Ps. Still haven't truly figured it out and ive been at it for a while with that coticule.
