    Default Box Labeled Escher

    Had a chance at one on the bay, but I couldn't bring myself to bid over $250.
    Smarter than I look or, not as dumb as I look. Whichever you prefer.

    You could count yourself lucky; a lot of the things described as Eschers on the bay are either unlabelled or minuscule and in all likelihood are not worth the outlandish sums the sellers want for them. I'd prefer to hone on a full size synthetic I know is good than on a 5" by 1" rock that may not actually be a Thuringian stone. However, there was a beautiful one shown here on SRP recently that would have been worth every cent of $400. I forget who posted the picture but it was a chance find and the label wasn't visible until it came out of the wooden case into which it had been stuck.

    That was Geezer. Wisconsin seems to be a fruitful location to find Eschers ;

    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
