DMT-Dia-Flat Lapping Plate
Just order one of this plates to take care of my Nani Super Stones.

Have any of you gents has any experience with it? It seems very efficient.
I own the Norton and Naniwa, but after reading how they are not as flat as the should be, I ordered this one.
Thanks for any input.

So say it proper. I bought a 120micro grit Dia Flat.
A good solid lapper to stated grit.
Various finishers call for 1100 grit.
DMT 325 Coarse seemed to be the work horse of lapping plates for quite a while.
Is there an update??
Why Deviate from repeatable results??Your only as good as your last hone job.

I've not had any experince with this one but I ordered one from SRD . The one i got works good. It's a DMT 325 and not as expensive. I also some times use the granite counter top in the kitchen with wet dry sand paper . That works good to. I take a pencil and draw lines up down and across then lap until gone.

If you check with some contractors they may have a small pc. of granite left over from a job. it really doesn't matter what color it is as long as it the size you need and flat. just a thought.

The nice thing about the Dia-Flat is it's generous 4'' x 10'' real estate. The only down side is it weighs a hefty 4 lbs . A dmt 1200 and duel grit 600/325 for comparison.

I have the 325 8x3 and don't regret getting it. Mine was a little rough at first, but luckily for me I bought it since lapping my Cant on sandpaper wasn't going well and the DMT was broken in after lapping that.

Thanked: 3225I have the dia-flat 325 and it works well after I knocked off the high diamonds that left marks on my Naniwa hones. Not to worry, apparently some plates do this and others don't. Sits on the bottom of my kitchen sink with water running on it while I lap.
