    Default Antique store find.

I found me a nice Thuringian hone today. I'm not sure what color you would consider it but I can't wait to try it out. The lighter of the two is the new one.

Sweet, I have found plenty of Eshers at antique stores and flea markets, and when I say Esher I mean thuringians of course.

Out of curiosity what's the difference? I've never owned one of those.

I have no idea, I have never owned a Thuri. I was just poking fun at your hones. They are actually nice looking hones, let us know how they perform.

But I am the proud father of 3 beautiful PHIG's.

IME all of the various Escher/Thuringan colors are basically grey. To my eye, in these photos, the darker one looks like a 'blue-green', and the lighter like a 'light-green', or possibly a 'yellow-green.' The only one I find easy to recognize from photos is the dark blue. It is dark. Nice hones you've got there.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Looking at the photos I'd say Dark Blue and Blue Green, but not sure if the photo color temperatures are accurate.
