Got this the other day. Have been fighting it with 120 sic. It seems to be slate. The slurry has a hint of green in it. There are scattered black dots. A few surface ripples, it's dense and while it laps material away readily, it takes a lot of effort even with sic to get where you're going. It was used with oil but the oil did not seem to penetrate really even though the box was so saturated it soaked oil into the packaging. It was littered with razor breadknifes as well as channels from fine points being honed. Color is a rich drab green for one half transitionng to a green on the other end with hints of yellow peeking through.
